Brocchi, Cisse, and Mauri spoke to the press following the draw with Milan and all showed content for the performance of the biancoceleste, and optimisim towards the coming season.
Stefano Mauri was impressed with his team's performance despite lamenting losing the lead:
"Our performance tonight gives us the conviction that we have a good squad. We played on par with Milan and we did well to defend our goal. We should have capitalized more on the advantage we had, but if you look at the result and considering that we were playing Milan, one can only be satisfied. It was a good game." said the captain of the night.
Mauri was also full of praise for Klose and Cisse whom he has given the assists tonight:
"Klose and Cisse showed their worth today, they are two great players who are known to score, and I am sure they will continue to."
Cristian Brocchi also spoke to Media Set and expressed his satisfaction from the result.
"We played the game with the goal of imposing our game on them, and we succeeded in that for a while. We had some mistakes that allowed them to come back to the game, but overall we can be satisfied with our performance."
Brocchi was also full of praise to Lazio's new spears, Klose and Cisse: "They are two great players, and the numbers and statistics speak for them, but I don't like to talk about individuals a lot, I prefer talking about the group, a united group is what gives the result we desire."
Brocchi also responded to Pjanic who speaking yesterday said that he chose Roma over Lazio since Roma is number one in the capital.
"Pjanic still needs to learn, he has not been told that we are the first team of the capital."
Finally, Cisse spoke also to Media Set on his first game in Serie A:
"I am very happy with our game, we played against the Champions of Italy and decided to go play without fear, we could have won or lost but we wanted to play our style. I am very happy to score, my goal now is to do well with Lazio, score many goals and convince the coach of France to give me a call up for the national team. I can play anywhere in the front line, I have no problems at all."
