  25/09/2011: Reja: "Let's make peace"

Lazio boss Edy Reja spoke to La Repubblica about the upcoming fixture against Palermo this afternoon. Also team news for the match against Palermo.

"I expect many fans. I will field the best formation, we need to give continuity to the presentation shown at Cesena and drag the stadium on our side. It would be nice to have a good picture. Tomorrow I expect a beautiful setting with the fans. Let's make peace.

Reja hit the headlines last week when he offered his resignation but seems to have found serenity again."I had a moment of despair and personal disappointment. My boys gave me the strength to fight back and continue. I hope for peace. We want to excite and drag the public".

Lazio's hero of last season Hernanes found his form against Cesena midweek when fielded in his favoured position behind the strikers in a 4-3-1-2 formation. "We have found the balance, it's the best solution to support those 3 upfront so well that they see the goal". Hernanes is expected to start again behind the strike partnership of Cisse and Klose. Lorik Cana is also expected to start the game. "Brocchi still feels pain in his right foot, and now that I know him better I think the Albanian can take his place in that position". Ledesma and Matuzalem are expected to start in the centre, "This year he is in excellent condition, he hasn't missed a workout. I am a big fan, I only ask him to do what he is capable of, not to overdo it". The defence will consist of 4 from Lulic, Stankevicius, Dias, Diakite and Konko. Marchetti will also start.

In other news, Lazio defender Andre Dias signed a 2-year contract extention which now means his contract will run until 2014. The Brazilian is considered indispensible at the back and Lazio decided to tie him in and the contract was signed in secret two weeks ago.
