05/10/2011: Cisse: "I also rejected China"

Djibril Cisse reveals that he turned down a big money move to China in order to join Lazio and keep his International career alive.

"I thought the league was not for me, but only fools do not change their mind", said Cisse to la Repubblica. "This summer I received a proposal from China, Guangzhou Evergrande offered me 20 million Euros for a two and half year contract. But it is too early, the competitive spirit is still everything to me and I didn't want to leave for a far away destination until I have the chance to play for my country".

Speaking about his time at Lazio Cisse said; "I'm better, I feel even stronger than before, mentally and physically. I may have lost some speed due to my injury but I have gained in the tactical sense, and I want to prove it. I am happy for the three points in Florence but I am not satisfied with my performance".

Cisse was called up for the French national team for the games against Albania and Bosnia.
