The decision has arrived, FIFA has now announced that Lazio will have to pay Velez a compensation for Mauro Zarate as the Argentinean club has nourished the talented Argentinean.

Gazzetta dello Sport today reported that FIFA has refused Lotito's appeal and has decided that Lazio will have to pay 727,380 euros to Velez as they were the club that nourished the talented Zarate. Lotito had refused earlier to pay the sum and has appealed the decision of the court, which was issued in July 2010, in February 2011. Today the court decided in favor of Velez.
