In an interview with LLSN, Roberto Galbiati, who spent one season at Lazio in 1985-86 heaped lavish praise on Claudio Lotito's Lazio as he looked ahead to this weekend's derby:
"I expect a great derby, both teams are in good shape, even Roma who struggled at first have found some consistency."
"This Lazio can go far, Champions League qualification is not beyond them and with the right balance and improvements in defense, they can be the surprise package this year."
"Is Lotito's Lazio the strongest there's ever been? Lotito has done a great job over the years despite difficulties and great results have been achieved. This Lazio is second only to Cragnotti's."
"It will not be easy for Lazio to forget previous results against Roma. The pressure in Rome is significant, it is important that you can handle the mental aspect. The Rome derby is special and players shouldn't pass up on the challenge."
"Zarate was an important player for Lazio in recent years but the company made a conscious choice to go with Klose and Cisse and they will not regret doing so. Klose will be decisive for Lazio and not only in the derby. He has experience and has given so much over the years. i saw the Fiorentina game and Lazio's front three are to be feared."
"Roma are still a work in progress and for me, Lazio is stronger at this moment, but they will have to dispel the curse."
