  12/10/2011: Klose: I will play!

A fan at Formello received the most beautiful message from Miroslav Klose: “Of course I will play”. The German forward continued his physical therapy in the morning and in the afternoon he even hit the pitch for half an hour, playing with the ball in the final minutes. President Lotito has no doubts: “I’m sure he will be on the pitch at the derby, I have no worries” – quoted by repubblica.it.

Even the medical staff is optimistic:” The boy has shown great progress in the last few days. We have made a protocol of intensive care and the next few hours will be decisive. We are confident he will recover, because Miroslav is responding very well to the treatment” – said Dr. Bianchini. “The clash with Behrami against Fiorentina was on the side, so there was no direct trauma” – added the doctor.

Including Klose in the derby will be certain Friday morning. Today Klose was in the sport center. He was stopped by a fan who asked him if he would play. Klose’s answer: “Of course”. But Klose’s readiness is only half of the decision. It will be up to Reja to decide if he wants to risk his main striker so he must think up alternatives: the Christmas tree: 4-3-2-1 with Mauri and Hernanes backing up Cisse as the forward, the usual 4-3-1-2 with Rocchi in Klose’s place or the old 4-2-3-1 with Sculli, Hernanes and Mauri behind Cisse.

Good news continues to come for Reja. After the National team break his called up players didn’t get much time. Cisse was benched against Bosnia, Hernanes got only few minutes for Brazil and Gonzalez played 25 minutes against Paraguay.

On question remains: will Olympia fly Sunday? The decision was due today, but it was delayed for tomorrow.
