15/10/2011: Lotito: "I do not take a penny"

The Financial statement of AS Roma reveals that Di Benedetto has a salary of 1.1 million. In addition to a monthly ticket to the US, and a driver and a security guard. Di Benedetto's salary matches that of Rosella Sensi and it becomes ironic when he says: "The mistakes of the past era are affecting us now."

Claudio Lotito gave a response on those numbers: "I cannot say that I am surprised by Di Benedetto's salary. What I can say is that neither I nor any of the members of the board at Lazio have ever received a penny."

Lotito then adds how he believes presidents should act: "To me, the leaders of a society do not have to earn money, they must act in the spirit of service to the values of this sport."
