The player's have told Facebook and Twitter exactly what Sunday evening's derby victory meant to them.

Hernanes: "In football, this is the happiest night of my career."

Mauri: "One word... GREAT..."

Ledesma: "What a night for the Eagles. I dedicate the victory to my child as I hoped that she would bring me victory and to all the special fans like you who deserve a great Lazio."

Dias reserved special praise for his Brazilian counterpart: "Hernanes was like Pirlo and as I saw him play in the early years of his career. Return of the Prophet."

Jude Cissé, the wife of the beast Djibril, was evidently proud of her man: "Well done Lazio, Dad will be happy."
