  30/10/2011: D'Amico: "Cagliari-Lazio is difficult to predict"

Former biancoceleste Vincenzo D'Amico spoke exclusively to TMW about Lazio's clash tonight with Cagliari. D'Amico who grew up at Lazio's youth sector and played with the first team from 1972 to 1986 holds now a position at Rai sports.

Two points are separating the team of Reja (15) and the team of Ficcadenti (13), do the standings of those two teams reflect the value of their squad ?

"You can say so, but from a perspective of player talent, Lazio are more superior to Cagliari. The position that Lazio holds is natural when we look at their squad, while we can say that Cagliari has made a surprise start."

How can Cagliari embarrass Lazio?

"Ficcadenti has valuable elements at his disposal, such as Nene and Conti. Conti is unpredictable and would like to avenge the defeats his father suffered in the derbies against Lazio. He has made the right choice to come to Cagliari because he can play an important role there."

When Lazio fields the trident of Cisse, Klose, and Sculli, they seem to be unstoppable. Could this be the key for Reja to win the game ?

"I think Reja will not field Sculli against Cagliari, I think Hernanes will play in a 4-3-1-2 behind Cisse and Klose. Lazio will look for attack because that is where they are dangerous, when having possession. Moreover, they are missing important players in defense such as Biava, so it is better to rely on attack."

How do you predict the result of this game?

"It is difficult to predict what every team will do. But I think Cagliari will have the initiative in the beginning and that Lazio will wait a little bit to see how to turn the game."
