The two players gave their comments to MediaSet after a crucial win against Zurich that kept Lazio in the run for qualification to the second round of Europa League...
Brocchi was exuberant and speaking to the press outlined his happiness that his goal sealed the game for the bianoceleste.
"I am glad that my goal was important and sealed the victory. The three points are crucial for our morale ahead of the game against Vaslui and hopefully will lead to our qualification." said the midfielder in the press room.
Lazio run the risk of going out at the group stage in case they don't win against Vaslui and Brocchi was up to the challenge.
"We don't like it easy, and this is our feature, we will play till the end."
Brocchi moved on to praise his side: "This Lazio was built intelligently to battle on three fronts. However some incidents like the injuries of Mauri, Matuzalem, and Gonzalez has brought us trouble and we have to suffer more, but our quality will eventually take over."
Lazio will face Parma on Sunday and Brocchi is more than ready: "I will not talk about a win against Parma because we always jinx ourselves when we do, but I can tell you that Parma is a tough team and we have to face them with a must win attitude. When you are high in the standings, you will do everything to stay there."
As for the missed chance of meeting Floccari again as the player who is on loan at Parma is injured: "I feel sorry for his injury, he is a great player and has the respect of the whole team."
In the game against Parma, Lazio will have the logo of the Sandri foundation on the shirts in tribute to Gabrielle Sandri and Brocchi promises to give his best: "This is very important for us, the issue of Gabrielle is felt very strongly amongst the players. We will try to honor him by giving our best."
Brocchi had words of sympathy for Cassano: "It is sad what happened to him. I speak on behalf of all my teammates when I say that we all support him and wish him speedy recovery."
Finally Brocchi promised to always give his best in football: "Whatever is the game, I always give my best. Be it in training or in the games and when I see myself rewarded for my efforts, I feel honored. I know I am in the final stages of my career, but until I retire I will always give my best and fight for every ball as I have done when I was much younger."
Lazio's talisman for the night Tommaso Rocchi also spoke to Media Set after the game stressing on the importance of the win:
"We badly needed the win. We knew it will not be easy as FC Zurich are an organized team and play good football. We could not find many spaces but we did our best and eventually the three points came. That is what is important. Everything is possible, we still have two games and the group is open."
