29/11/2011: Cissé: "I will not leave Lazio"
email print
Djibril Cissé has struggled to find the net after he transferred to Lazio. There are already rumours linking him back to his former club Panathinaikos. Speaking to LazioStyleRadio Cissé reassures the fans that he will not be leaving Lazio anytime soon:

"I read that I want to leave Lazio. This is absolutely not true. I am not the type to leave when things are not going well. I am happy to be here. We have a large group in a strong league. I try in every game to score and it makes me sad when I am not able to do so. You just have to work hard, and this is what I am doing. I am not used to playing in my current role. With this role it is more natural to make more assists then goals. It is not true that I have problems with the coach. I accepted his decision to start me on the bench against Juventus."

Next Monday Cissé will have another chance to please his fans at Olimpico when Lazio take on Novara:

"Novara will be an important game against our own fans. The Olimpico gives me great emotions. I thank the fans for supporting me through this. Now we have Vaslui. We go there to win. We must come home with three points. The Europa League is a great competition and we must perform like we do in Serie A."

I am absolutely agree with him, it is mostly because of his new post that he could not score, but his assists statistics is not bad. I am glad that he wont leave us.
